Bajjodi, Jul 11 : ICYM Bajjodi unit and Commission for Ecology organized Laudato Si Day on Sunday, July 10th at 8.00am in the church premises. The celebration began with a prayer song by youth. Parish Priest Fr. Ivan Dsouza presided over as the Chief Guest. Fr. Patrick Lobo, Fr. Rayan Pinto, Br. Movin Pereira , Vice President Prakash Saldanha, Secretary Irene Pinto, Eco Commission coordinator Santhosh Veigas and youth planted a sapling as an expression of love and concern for nature.

Fr. Ivan Dsouza in his inspiring message highlighted the significance of the day. He urged everyone to join hands for this noble cause and help in little ways to curb the destruction of this planet.

The youth & children planted 35 saplings in the pots. At the end Fr. Ivan D’souza appreciated and congratulated the organizers and all the participants for their active involvement in the Vanamahotsava.

This programme was compered by Meldina Dsouza. ICYM President Jilson Pinto welcomed the gathering. The vote of thanks was given by Melisha Pinto.
