International Women’s Day celebration was organised by the Parish Women's Association on March 8, 2022 at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi.

The Thanksgiving mass was offered at 6pm by Parish Priest Fr. Ivan D’souza and Companion Priest Fr. Patrick Lobo which was followed by a get together at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. Rev. Fr. Ivan Dsouza presided over the function.   Fr. Patrick Lobo, PPC Vice President Mr. Prakash Saldanha, PPC Secretary Mrs. Irene Pinto were among others present for the programme.

The programme began with a prayer led by the members of the Women’s Association. The Association President, Mrs. Meena Pinto welcomed the gathering. The Women's Association of the Parish was inaugurated in a symbolic way. Mrs. Irene Pinto introduced the Resource Person Mrs. Rikitha Cutinha, who in her talk highlighted the role of parents in bringing up the children.

Spot games and American Housie were conducted by Molly Rodrigues & Jessica Mendonca. The cultural programme consisted of songs, skits and dance performed by the parish youth and the members of the Association. Refreshments were served to all those present.

Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Ivan Dsouza, gave away the prizes and in his message , he spoke on the importance of Women. He thanked all the Women for their constant support and assistance in the parish activities. 

Mrs. Lidwin Martis compered the programme. Mrs. Hilda Monis proposed the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end at 8.30 pm.
