First Holy Communion at Infant Mary Church Bajjodi

Nine angels of the Parish welcomed our Saviour, Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts for the first time, with utmost love and devotion on the 14th of May, 2023 after having waited eagerly for this memorable day to become one with Jesus, in the presence of the Parish clergy, parents and well-wishers.

The Eucharistic Celebration was led by Fr. Urban Santhosh Fernandes and concelebrated by Parish Priest Fr. Ivan Dsouza, Fr. Patrick Lobo, Fr. Melwyn Dsouza and Fr. Wilson Dsouza.  Fr. Urban Santhosh Fernandes preached an inspiring Homily. The Church choir facilitated the congregation to take active part in the Liturgy through their melodious singing.  The whole Liturgy was conducted by children receiving First Holy Communion. The joy of welcoming Jesus into their lives and renewing their Baptismal Promises was evident in the cherubic smiles of the children. 

Towards the end of the Mass, Rev. Fr. Ivan Dsouza thanked the teachers for catechising the first communicants. He also thanked all those present for this special occasion. All children who received the First Holy Communion were presented with the Scapular, Rosary, New Testament and a Certificate.
