Bajjodi, Aug 15 : Parishioners of Infant Mary Church Bajjodi, gathered together at 8am on 15th August, 2021, to celebrate 75 years of Independence and the feast of Assumption of Our Lady. The ICYM members of the Parish organised the flag hoisting ceremony at the church ground at 8 am.

President of ICYM, Bajjodi unit - Mr. Joswin Pinto welcomed the gathering. The programme was presided over by Fr. Rayan Pinto. Parish priest Fr Ivan D’souza, Fr Patrick Lobo, Vice President Mr. Prakash Saldhana, Secretary Mrs. Irene Pinto, Ward Leaders and the youth of the Parish were present. The command was given by Ms. Riyana Pinto. The flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest followed by the National Anthem which was sung with great respect to our Nation. The Chief Guest then delivered the message to the gathering on the significance of Independence Day. ICYM members sang a patriotic song that lifted the spirit of unity and patriotism among those present.

Rishel Suvarna proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Shreyas Dsouza. The gathering dispersed after the programme which concluded at 8.30 am.
