Bajjodi, April 3, 2021 : The Easter Celebration here at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi commenced at 7pm with the blessing of the new fire by Fr. Ivan D’souza. Fr. Rayan Pinto was the main Celebrant. The Easter Candle was lit and carried to the Altar , calling on people to walk in the light of the Risen Christ. The congregation lit candles that signified the victory of light over darkness and thus signifying enlightenment. Fr. Ivan Dsouza sang the Exultes - the Easter Hymn.

Water was blessed and baptismal vows were renewed. Three readings from the Sacred Scriptures gave a glimpse of the salvation, story of Israel and mankind in general. As the Gloria resounded in the air the image of Risen Jesus got unveiled. Fr. Ivan Dsouza preached the homily about how through His Resurrection Jesus has given us Eternal Life after death. Parishioners participated enthusiastically in solemn ceremony and celebration. . The liturgy was well-organized. The parish choir embellished the liturgy with excellent musical accompaniment. The faithful returned home with the Peace of the Risen Lord after the service.
