Feb 24, 2019: The Annual Catechism Day of our parish was held with much fervour and enthusiasm. It was the day to thank the Lord for the gift of Faith. It was also the day marked to felicitate the parish children who have been successful in learning the truths of our faith. The celebration began at 9.15a.m. with the Eucharist presided over  by the Parish Priest Fr. Ivan Dsouza. Fr. Ivan D’souza in his homily said, through catechism and Sunday classes the Christian Faith has to be nurtured. He also explained the responsibilities of the parents towards their children through a meaningful video and power point presentation. Children took active part in the liturgy. The children’s melodious choir added more beauty to the celebration.

Soon after the mass a short programme was held in the church hall presided over by Parish Priest Fr. Ivan Dsouza. Mrs. Stella Dsouza welcomed the gathering. Speaking on the occasion Fr. Ivan Dsouza appreciated the efforts of the catechism teachers and the coordinators in imparting religious education. Mrs. Stella Dsouza the catechism coordinator presented the annual report. Sr. Roopa read out the winners list. Teachers were honoured with a gift for their service throughout the year. Children were given prizes for regular attendance, Bible quiz and securing first second and prizes in the catechism exam. Vice President Mr. Joseph Mascarenhas, Secretary Mrs. Irene Pinto were also present.

Jonita Rasquinha compered the programme. Mr. Arun Dsouza proposed the Vote of thanks. Nearly 300 people participated in the programme.
