Oct.14th, 2018 : Our 17 member team along with our Spiritual Director - Fr. Ivan D'souza and the Parish Council Vice President Mr. Joseph Mascarenhas met at the church grounds at 9 am. We started our journey at around 9.30 am with a prayer led by Fr. Ivan that was followed by a hymn. The 45 minute journey was made enjoyable by our enthusiastic members with songs and their spontaneous jokes. On reaching the resort around 10.20 am we took some time admiring the ambience and serenity of the place. Once settled , we started with our team games that were well organised and nicely conducted by our fellow members Mrs. Meena Pinto and Mrs. Molly Concesso. The games continued till around 1.30 pm with a break in between for refreshments.

We then got together for lunch . Fr. Ivan led us into prayer and blessed the food. We all enjoyed the delicious Chicken Biryani and Chicken Chilly arranged by Mrs. Meena Pinto after which we relaxed listening to music and went around the ancient looking bungalow that was beautifully arranged with antiques. We then continued with our games around 2.15 pm. Every member participated very enthusiastically and sportingly.

Around 4.30 pm we proceeded to Kaup beach . We could not get into the waters due to the rough sea . We left back around 5.45 pm. We recited the Rosary followed by a hymn. We reached the church grounds around 7pm. We had a tiring, yet, an enjoyable day out. The efficiency of our core committee members in organising the picnic and the co- operation and enthusiasm of all who participated in the picnic was well appreciated.
